You Can Still Exercise With Cancer or In Recovery
Two factors that can significantly help cancer patients and those recovering from the disease include exercise and eating healthy. The eating aspect is a bit self-evident. By providing the body the right fuels and nutrients, it then has the raw resources to aid healing and recovery. The fitness side of the picture, however, is a bit more involved. Many who are diagnosed or just recovering may think at first fitness is out of the picture for the time being. It's a good day when a person has enough energy to get out of bed and get through the day with cancer or recovering from the related surgery or treatment.
Repeat studies continue to support the premise, however, that fitness provide cancer patients and survivors increased energy, increased body strength and endurance, and increased cardiovascular capability. All three aspects are extremely important in aiding recovery from cancer.
For example, women who are going through have had breast cancer surgery have to relearn the chest and arm muscle control area sometimes after the cancer removal. Surgery can result in painful arm and shoulder limitation until the body learns to re-use the muscle group again connected to the chest area. Colorectal cancer patients who ate healthy and maintained physical fitness enjoyed the benefits of an improved digestion system, enhancing and extending their measured life periods longer than similar cancer patients who didn't exercise at all. Patients with mesothelioma conditions realize increased breathing capacity.
Fitness also has sociability and mood benefits for cancer patients, worn down by repeat tests, treatments, and pain. Exercise repeatedly helps people gain a better mood, fend of depression, reduce their exhaustion of fatigue from treatment, and it has the side benefit of fending of weight gain and diabetes exposure as well.
Granted, patients and recovering survivors in many cases can't just start the first day and run 11 miles or begin bench-pressing 300 lbs. sets for an hour. Many times patients and survivors need to accept that basic stretch, body lifting through slow, low-impact exercises like Pilates, and walking may be the limit of what's possible in a given day. However, any level of exercise that increases the body's cardiovascular rate for at least 20 minutes daily is beneficial for patients.
Before taking on any new exercise program, a patient in diagnosis, treatment, or recovering from cancer should talk with his or her doctor first to be aware of what is safe. A trained cancer doctor will be able to confirm which exercises will work the best for a given status and condition, instead of making the patient's situation worse.

Recently, I met a man who had Lymphatic Cancer - Stage 4 with 123 lymph nodes affected. His cancer started in March 2008.
Affected parts: 1st: Right lung, 2nd: Left lung, 3rd: Groin, 4th: Eye and 5thMouth.
After 9 chemo therapies he stopped the treatment on 10/11/2008 because 5 specialists said he can only survive for 3 months. Today, after more than 2 years, he has recovered and is still living. Thanks to the Sabah Snake Grass (Clinacanthus) which he planted outside his house.
He blended the leaves with green apple (minus skin and seeds) and drank them after breakfast everyday.
After 13 days, he went for a blood test.The oncologist said that he was 96% cured.
So far more than 1,000 people who had taken the herbs showed improvement.

a) Pour half cup of clean water in a blender
b) Add 1 or 2 ice cubes to prevent heating during blending
c) Add 1 quarter of lemon or half a lime juice (provide Vitamin C and prevent oxidization )
d) Wash the required fresh SSG leaves and put them into the blender
e) Peel a green apple and remove the core/seeds
f ) Cut the apple into 8 pieces
g) Put in the pieces of apple
h) Blend and drink immediately or within 5 minutes. (consume daily)
I ) If your body is "cooling" add a few slices of ginger or drink warming herbs
Food to avoid : Sugar and products made with sugar, honey, kembong fish, ray fish, 7 angled-fish, chicken meat, duck meat, yam, glutenous rice, margarine, durians, bird nest, ginseng and other rejuvenating herbs.

Dr. Budwig, who is a six time Nobel Prize nominee, found out after 30 years of research that the blood of seriously ill patients was always deficient of certain important and essential ingredients like lipoproteins and phosphatides. The blood of normal healthy people has sufficient levels of these essential ingredients. Cancer cells literally grow wild without these ingredients.
A greenish-yellow substance was found in the blood analysis of cancer patients in place of healthy red oxygen carrying hemoglobin that is suppose to be there. That is why cancer patients often become anemic and weakened. She found out that this greenish-yellow substance were replaced with healthy red blood cells and the tumors gradually receded, when the natural ingredients were replaced over a three month period approximately. The symptoms of cancer, diabetes and liver dysfunction were alleviated.
If flaxseed oil & cottage cheese are eaten together then those essential ingredients in their bodies are replaced. but they have to be eaten together. In the 1950-s Dr.Johanna Budwig started a long research on the importance of essential fatty acids in the diet. Of course the German manufacturers of dietary fats were not happy with her research and tried to prevent her from publishing her findings. Dr. Budwing said that to extend th shelf life of their products, the manufacturers use chemical processes that make their food products harmful to the body.
The processing of chemical fats destroys the vital electron cloud within the fat. The fats can´t no longer bind with oxygen after the electrons are gone and they become harmful substance deposited within the body. Chemically processed fats end up damaging heart action, blocking circulation, inhibit cell renewal, and impede the free flow of blood and lymph fluids. Selenium is a powerful mineral. Needed only in very small amounts, it plays a crucial role in your cells' defenses against cancer. It is a central part of the enzymes that knock out free radicals, the unstable molecules that can attack your cells and ultimately lead to cancer. It also plays a role in recycling antioxidants through the body. These antioxidants, such as vitamin E, then lower the risk of cancer by preventing free radicals from damaging cells.
Selenium may also protect the body against contaminants such as mercury, cadmium, and silver, help speed the elimination of cancer cells, and slow tumor growth.1 A selenium deficiency is very serious and can cause nerve and heart dysfunction. Fortunately, most people in the world get plenty of selenium, except, perhaps, in unusual areas where soil selenium is low and food fortification is inadequate.
Studies have shown that selenium intake above the recommended dietary allowance (RDA), while not necessary for normal body function, may protect against certain cancers. In one region of China, where epidemic rates of esophageal and gastric cancers occurred, the risk was cut in half after large dose of selenium were given.2 In populations at higher risk for prostate cancer, selenium supplements decreased risk and growth rate of tumors.3 Selenium supplements may also be able to halt the growth of polyps in the colon and reduce the risk of lung and liver cancers.4,5 However, it's still best to get your selenium from foods, because too much can be toxic.
The richest sources of selenium are cereals, grains, and Brazil nuts. Vegetables and fruits also provide small amounts of selenium. How much we consume is almost entirely dependent on levels of selenium in the soil where crops are grown. Fortunately, for U.S. residents and those who consume exported U.S. foods, there is generally enough in the soil to promote health. The amount of selenium needed for normal body function is only 40 micrograms per day with the RDA being 55 micrograms. Intakes of most U.S. residents easily surpass both of these values. Countries that remain at risk for selenium deficiency are China, Denmark, Finland, and New Zealand. So, if you are consuming food grown mostly in the United States, you probably don't need to worry about selenium.5
Tips for Increasing Selenium in Your Diet
While the U.S. RDA for selenium is 55 micrograms, studies show that for maximum protection against cancer, intake of selenium as high as 100 to 300 micrograms per day is necessary. To increase your intake of selenium for maximum cancer protection, base your meals on a variety of grains. For an added bonus have a serving of tofu (40 micrograms) or a single Brazil nut (120 micrograms).
